Pakje Kunst en Kunstautomat (international)

Kunstautomat (international) and Pakje Kunst® (The Netherlands) are an initiative in which artists are brought to the attention internationally and in their own region by selling unique miniature artworks the size of a pack of cigarettes from old mechanical cigarette vending machines. In a box you can come across any art form. This way, the buyer gets his hands on a unique work of art for 4 euros in an accessible way.

Especially for Pakje Kunst and the international Kunstautomat I designed wall ornaments from Porcelain within the series “Breathing Space”. The edition is numbered and equipped with a small nail so that you can hang the object carefully on the wall where you need breathing space.

Pakje Kunst Museum Weekly the Pakje Kunst Museum posts a video on Facebook in which Mr. Visser discusses a miniature from their museum. December 2019, a porcelain wall sculpture from my series Ademruimte was discussed in a playful and unique way: Click here to open the video

Pakje Kunst is an initiative of Ro-Nalt Schrauwen and inspired by the German Kunstautomat according to Lars Kaiser’s idea. March 2018, the alderman of Culture Joris Wijsmuller opened the Pakje Kunst Vending Machine for the Haaglanden region at MIAW (Make it Art Worthy) on the Noordwal in The Hague.

The Kunstautomat can be found in the Netherlands at Atel’je Van Putten and HUB in Kerkrade and Museum Valkenburg. International throughout Germany in Potsdam, Berlin and Ulm, Pollau (Austria) and Barcelona.
